After 7.0 update, watch can't pair with phone.

Got the 7.0 update while I slept, as normal. Found during my morning routine it would lose watchface settings periodically, as 'normal'. Performed a reset to defaults to fix this, as 'normal'. Now, the watch won't pair with my phone. I've restarted both devices, and done various jiggery pokery with Bluetooth.

    Apologies. The fix seems to be "let it sit there for two hours.

    New symptom! I cannot use watch faces other than pre-installed at all. They're on the watch, and I can select them from the 'wheel' of faces, but when I press apply, it just goes back to the default face!

    Motorola XT1575
    Android 6.0
    Connect 4.1.9

    Is there a way to roll back to a previous version and not auto-update in the future? I don't need any of the new stuff in version 7, and the old one was working fine.

  • I had the same problem. I just went into <settings><phone><status> and enabled as for some reason it was disabled.
  • I can't pair my F5X after I factory reset my Google Pixel XL - the pairing just hangs after the verification code input. I've also tried on my iPhone 6 and it's not pairing on this either.

    I initially tried to add the same device again but then I deleted my device from Garmin Connect and it still doesn't pair! Any thoughts?
  • This has now sprung into life on my Pixel XL - not sure if something has been done to resolve it or not on the GC servers but I think that might be the case as I had tried about 30 times to get the F5X to pair!

    Are you sure that phone was Google properly as their has been reports of Pixel phone being sold by Pixel Phone Resellers
