With news that the lbs versus kg thing is fixed with this latest revision, I wanted to resync the guided workouts I created - but only to find that I can't. The Fenix 5X is in the list of "not compatible" devices in the mobile app. Anyone else experiencing this?
I think this is more an issue with Garmin Connect Mobile than with the new firmare. I saw this exact behaviour earlier this week (on 6.0) but dismissed it, as it was the first time I wanted to sync a guided workout to the watch from GCM.
Yeah, well...this feature is why I waited 6 months to get the Fenix 5X. There wasn't a lot of value in moving from Fenix 3HR until the guided workouts feature became available because that is important to me. So, now I essentially have a Fenix 3HR sitting back on my wrist.
Another request for a status update. This is seriously bugging me. It wouldn't be *so* bad that I can't sync workouts to the watch since I'm pretty sure workouts that were already there should still work. But my watch took a dump on itself and really got too flaky to use until I did a full data reset and started fresh. So I lost saved workouts and can't sync them again so I have nothing.
For those affected by this bug (this includes me) you can still send workouts to your watch using the USB cable and Garmin Express on a PC or Mac. It's not as convenient as the mobile app but it does work until this gets fixed.
Yes, this is true. Fortunately I did figure this out and meant to post it, so thanks.
So to be clear, it's not that the 5x doesn't currently support guided workouts, it's just that the GC app (at least on iOS) *thinks* the 5x is incompatible and thus won't send to it.

Aha! Perfect! Had not even thought about trying it this way.
