Hello, good afternoon, I write to comment that I am having continuous connections and disconnections of the sensor tempe with my fenix 5. Does anyone else suffer this problem? Thanks
I put the sensor on my right shoe (cadence is on the other one) and I havent experienced any issue. I also havent experienced any issue with the other ant+ sensors.
The way the tempe works, it can often take a minute or two to connect. That's the same on all watches. Footpods are much faster, and again, it's because how they do the comm. When I start seeing a problem with a tempe connecting at all, I'll often just change the battery (seems it lasts about a year). Another difference with a tempe and a footpod, is the footpod will go to "sleep" when it's not being used. A tempe is sending data 24/7, and it doesn't matter if you're wearing it, connected to it, etc.
It does drop signal more easily than other sensors, in part because it doesn't transmit as often as others. When I have it on my shoe, it seems to help to mount it as far forward as possible, so my knee won't be between it and the watch so often.
