Hello,

I have fenix 5s watch and probably it has problems with strenght training rep counting. The problem is that when I strart training it's starts normaly, but when i try to go to next rep, it stuck in rest mode and i can't change this state of. also when button to next rep not working. instead of this it returns me to watch mode.

Step by step whats happen:

1. Watch is in clock mode. I Click "Start" button (Start button is top right button).
2. I Select Strength activity.
3. i see "Reps and time". I start activity.
4. When activity started i am notice that there is set 1 and time is ticking.
5.I Click Start button to Pause. the activity is paused and activity become in rest mode.
6.I start activity and rest time starts ticking.
7. I Click Back-Lap button and my watch goes to watch mode. at this part i understand that it should do something different.
8. I click "Start" button and it return to activity window which is in rest mode.

basically everything i do in current activity is always in rest mode and i need to finish it. So maybe i am missing something?

    Start to start -> back/lap -> back/lap -> ... -> back/lap -> start to finish.

Ok at stage 5 i am not Pause the activity, but instead i clicked back/lap button.

Still same issue. Everytime I click back/lap it return directs me to clock mode. and when i click again it returns me to activity mode with current activity and first rep.
  • 1. Watch is in clock mode. I Click "Start" button (Start button is top right button).
    2. I Select Strength activity.
    3. i see "Reps and time". I start activity with "Start" button.
    4. When activity started i am notice that there is set 1 and time is ticking.
5.I Click "back/lap" button (lower right button) to rest. The activity is paused and activity become in rest mode. Now you can edit your reps and weight with the "Down" Button (lower left button) or still wait.
    6. I Click "back/lap" to start the next set.
    7. Continue with step 5
    8. If you are finish, click "Start" button and follow the hints at the display.

This works for me a lot of times per week.
I can make some screenshots if you like.

    MrProper,

at 5 stage i tried do the same as in your instruction, but instead of activity is paused and i could change reps number and weight, i was just navigated to clock mode and my activity is in background and still active. perhaps there is a bug inside my watch?

I will add images what happen when i click "back/lap" button.
  • Hi HypKnoT,

Will you open the settings for your Strength App and make sure that the Lap Key is enabled. (Start button - Scroll to Strength - Press and hold Menu - open Strength Settings - Scroll down to Lap Key.) This should resolve the issue.

    Thanks,

    Hi odsweng,

The lap key was turned off. I enabled it and now everything works as expected ! THANKS!

NOTE: this one probably should be noted in manuals because it is little bit confusing that laps should be enabled together with reps ( feels like reps should be enough to work as expected)

    but anyway, thanks again!
