After a hard reset three weeks ago intensity minutes were once again recording and I was able to sync to garmin connect mobile. While I can sync to garmin connect mobile the intensity minutes are no longer recording, it seems the more things change the worse it gets.
For me only Moderate Intensity activities record. Every time I do a high intensity workout I get zero credit for it. Example: I did a 30 minute swim Saturday, of which 22 minutes were over 90% of my max HR (Zone 5). None of this was credited towards Intensity Minutes.
I got this watch in September, it has never recorded high intensity workouts.
Same here on the fenix 5x intensity minutes remains at zero on the watch after activity for three days.(was working before this) Also not showing in up GC for any time period. Ive just sent my watch back for a replacement.
After reading your posts,it may be that i was to hasty in my decision.(thought i was alone)
Go figure hard session on the C2 yesterday 0 intensity minutes and by zero I mean nothing for the warm up, the training session or cool down and today a long slow distance piece and I received 56 minutes. I think I will just focus on the training and let the rewards come in improving my times not in arbitrary intensity minutes.
This is strange, as I said before three days ago it was working for me,but i would record intensity minutes just by standing up and slowly walking, where as on my fenix 3hr i had to work much harder to receive intensity minutes. Anyway I'm going to reluctantly remove the widget,as its of no use to me anymore. This is just another part of my watches features that dosen't work and that ive had to turn off. I loved my fenix 3hr...... UPDATE::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Now working perfectly for me, Starting to really enjoy my watch again. :-) ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Can we have you email the . In your email please list the subject as "intensity minutes - forums" and attach the settings.fit file found on your device.
I,ve just checked out my intensity minutes in Garmin Connect and realised I've had virtually nothing in the last few months..... seems strange as my actual activity has increased dramatically.
I will email the beta team with a screenshot of my GC intensity minutes and the settings file...
Intensity minutes behave strange for me as well. I daily have 2 * 10km (a > 10min activity) of commuting by bike next to all other activities that vary throughout the week. Always, on mondays (first day of my week, by default) my intensity minutes generated by cycling are recorded, sometimes on tuesdays my intensity minutes are recorded as well. After that, recording stops and no more intensity minutes are gained, though I log several > 10 min activities. Intensity minutes counter is reset at the end of the week. The one constant I have found is that between a day when I get IM recorded and a day without IM recorded I have charged my device. Typically I have to charge first or second day of the week. (battery life is nowhere near as promised in the sales pitch). Seems that charging the device does something with recording of IM. I've been googling around and apparantly this problem has already been going on for a few years and is independent of device. I've read that Garmin has labelled it as a software issue but no fix has been issued. Just another thing to add to the crappy garmin connect app list of bugs
I've been seeing similar issues. Up until about 3 weeks ago or so, Intensity Minutes recorded perfectly fine for me. Moderate IMs would record once hitting a certain HR zone (2-3, I think?), and Vigorous IMs would record at zone 4-5, I believe.
About 3 weeks ago, IMs started recording randomly; it seemed to correspond to when I was just walking around for at least 10 minutes, but I can't confirm that 100%. I did zero exercise on those days and yet IMs recorded, which had never happened before.
This seems to be continuing and now I've noticed that IMs also are not recording while exercising. Yesterday I recorded a cycling activity with 32 minutes in HR Zone 2, 12 minutes in Zone 3, and 5 minutes in Zone 4. Zero IMs seem to have been recorded from that. Instead, only 10 IMs were recorded that day, which seems to possibly correspond with 10 minutes of walking I did.
It's absolutely perplexing since this is my second Fenix 5S unit (I returned the first as I was accidentally shipped an APAC version by Amazon) and IMs had worked on both flawlessly for me until about 3 weeks ago. I'm going to email "], but this is quite concerning to me. Definitely has me considering moving to the Apple Watch.
I have a 935, not a F5, but am seeing the exact same things. As of a few weeks ago intensity minutes are just really screwy. It seems only vigorous activity is getting recorded, not moderate. My walks for example always registered until this month. Very frustrating.
