Set Garmin Fenix 5 to record heart rate and steps continuously + record a track log?

My Garmin Fenix 5 just arrived today. I haven't had a chance to open it up yet. I'll be heading out on a trip soon so I don't have a whole lot of time going through the manual so I'm really hoping someone can give me instructions on how to properly configure my Fenix 5.

Do I need to do anything in the settings to ensure that the Fenix 5 is constantly measuring my heart rate and accurately record not just the number of steps I take in a day, but also the number of stairs that I climb? Can this data be synchronized with Apple Health? Will the data conflict with the Apple Watch data that I synchronize with the iPhone?

If I were to configure the Fenix 5 to record a track log at a 1 second interval, how many tracks can the memory store? Is the track log format FIT or GPX?

How do I set the Fenix 5 to record at a 1 second interval, archive on a daily basis?

Garmin's handheld unit have the ability to set the recording method to "Auto" and recording interval to "Most Often". Does the Fenix 5 have this option available as well?

Can I transfer the track logs from the Fenix 5 to a PC via either Bluetooth or WiFi?

Can I download and update the Fenix 5 with the latest firmware through Bluetooth or WiFi? Or it'll have to be connected to a PC and use BaseCamp?

Thank you!
