Garmin Connect records are not recognized by the watch

Hello all,

I have a question regarding the connection of my achieved records (Garmin Connect) and the records listed in the watch.

I've used a Garmin fenix 3 HR for round about a year up to now to track my activities.
A few weeks ago, i switched to the Garmin fenix 5x and sent my achieved records (achieved with the fenix 3 and saved in Garmin Connect) to the new watch.
It seemed, that everything worked fine because i could see the records in the menu of the watch.

The problem is now, that these records are not consistent.
At the time i finished my first activity with the fenix 5x, i saw that the record was overwritten by a "worse" time for this activity.

Is this a known problem or did i anything wrong in the configuration of the watch?

This matches my experiences from both the Fenix 5x and from a previous 920xt is that the watch only seems to recognise records that was set while wearing it.

Okay, interesting.
It would be nice if Garmin can fix this simple issue with a FW upgrade since it is annoing to have a sync prob between the watch and Garmin Connect.

I have heard a rumor that Garmin will be introducing better intergation between the Fenix and Edge series devices in Q1 2018. I'm not sure what this will be, and whether it will extend to exchanging data between other Garmin devices as well.
