got a foot pod for my Fenix 5 wifi. Go to settings, sensors & accessories, add new, foot pod - it searches and says "walk around to activate the sensor" - I walk and walk (indoors and outdoors), and nothing happens, no additional messages, and it goes back to the watch face. Does this mean it is activated? I think likely not - so what can I do to make it work?
I'm trying to remember if my foot pod has a little led or not, but it works with my fenix 5s. Maybe just search for all sensors rather than just a foot pod.

Did that, and it says "No Sensors Found". So could it be the battery after all?, even though I get "walk around to activate the sensor"?
The watch is saying walk around to activate the sensor as it can't find it, so the chances are that the battery in the foot pod is dead. I have a Garmin foot pod and it works fine with my F5.
Before replacing the battery, you might just want to check that it is positioned correctly and touching the contacts, and that any tape that is there to prevent accidental electrical contact while shipping has been removed.
Also, just try holding the pod closer to the watch while trying to pair it.
So, I took it apart, took out the battery - and the plastic circle underneath (with the + and circuit on it) was not aligned properly. Aligned it, and it works. Just some poor assembly and quality control in Taiwan. Is Garmin paying enough for good quality?
