Resting HR

Only been wearing this for about 24 hours so far and this is replacing a f?nix 3 (non-HR) that I used for three years reliably.

The GC app says my resting HR for today was 58, but by watch says in the past 4 hours the lowest was 51. Why are they reporting differently?
  • If you wear your watch 24/7, RHR is average HR during sleep and NOT lowest recorded HR. If you only wear it during the day then RHR will be lowest HR (weird but that's Garmin implementation).
  • I've noticed the same as well. I find my 5 reads way higher than my 3hr ever did. My heart rate often hits the 30s when I'm sleeping or inactive but my watch tells me it's 51-52 when in reality I know it's about 45 as measured on medical equipment.

i have set my sleep time from 22-22 on connect. as i wear the watch 24/7 and really do not like the way garmin implemented the Resting HR algorithm.
with this setting I get RHR as the lowest HR during the day

to be sure to understand, you set same hour for sleep start and sleep stop ?

yep, same sleep and wake up time. watch will than take the lowest hr during day and you still get your sleep analysis. only do not disturb mode will not work automatically, but I never used it anyway :-)
