Fenix 5 : Last Run Widget not showing today's run?

Hi there,

3 week long Fenix 5 user here: Noticed for first time today, my Last Run widget summary screen is not showing, or accounting for, today's 10k morning run but is only listing the 3 runs prior this week, and when selecting the Last Run widget detail, the last activity (run) listed is from yesterday. However, when I select Menu/History/Activities the history is correct and includes today's morning run?

I can also correctly see today's 10k run listed in GC.

Due to using an uploaded course map I had erroneously recorded the run by initiating Navigate - rather than Run (with navigation), which I regret as it did not record my cadence or performance condition as a result. Could this be the cause? Post run, realising my error - I edited the Navigation Activity in GC to correct it to a Run activity, so am assuming this may have caused the issue - however it still does not make sense given the run is correctly listed in History and I resync'd after the edits.

Anyone had this issue and if so able to resolve it? I attempted to update to Beta 6.75 to see if it resolved the issue - but had no joy installing it as the watch does not enter update mode post installing the files... hey ho, will have to wait for production s/w update I guess.

That’s exactly what the problem is. The Navigate app does not “tag” the activity as a Run and the watch cares not whether you change the activity type in Garmin Connect later. To navigate a course but get the correct activity type, open the correct activity app first (Run in this case), then before pressing start press and hold the Up button and scroll to select Navigation, then select the Course and Do Course; you’ll then be navigating in the activity type you intended.
