Syncing with iPad

Hi, I have a Fenix 5s. I don’t have an iPhone though and only an iPad. I have installed Connect on the iPad and I can add my 5s happily at which point it syncs without any trouble. Unfortunately that is where it stops. After that I cannot sync anymore. The only way to sync appears to be to remove my device within Connect and add it again, at which point it syncs happily. I have done this three times now, but when I re-open Connect later on it says that my device must be busy. If I try to force the sync from the device it simply says that phone connection is required. I am at my wits end. Can someone please help me.

When you get the message from the ipad "Sync Now Your device seems to be busy, and your sync request timed out. Try again later" it means the watch is already connected by Bluetooth to something else. Try going into the watch's Settings | Phone | and look at the status. If it says "Connected" try turning the status to "off", then to "on" and fire up the app on your ipad immediately. I am only guessing but this might help.

Not sure why, all I can say is that I have successfully synced a Fenix 2, Fenix 3 and Fenix 5 with an iPad air and iPad mini 4, the last combination Fenix 5 with iPad mini 4 lasted for a while, it was quite reliable, even passing app notifications and all

Another guess is that you have tried Live Tracking and have hit the existing live tracking bug, in which the watch gets hung up and never quits the live tracking, thus reporting that it is busy when you try to sync. You could try a watch reset. Again, this is a guess.
