Custom workouts won't stop automatically

Don't think there is a solution . Mine warns me that the workout has been completed , but I still need to manually end it

Personally I like it much better this way. I stop the watch when I'm done. Otherwise I might not see that a workout has ended while I'm on my way home and the watch just stops (more or less) silently on me.

I don't think so that's the normal operation of this function, because you have the opportunity to set TIME workout and it's working on my Fenix 3 device.

This is the answer I got from Garmin long time ago. There is nothing you can do. I know it was like this for F3, but not for F5. No workaround.

its the same procedure on the new edge 1030 and i like this much better
think about it,before when you was out on a training ride or run using a custom workout and when the workout was finished it just stopped and saved and if you wasnt back home you had to start a new activity to trecord the last part
now the timer just keeps on running after the workout is finished untill you hit stop :) much much better setup

I too much prefer the current functionality where an activity continues to record data until I stop it.
