Baro issue FW6.0 locked in position

With the release overnight of 6.0 I realized I was on negative altitude far out during the ride 2 weeks ago. I couldn't stop but somehow I managed to see the autocalibration had been auto-enabled.
In the last 2 weeks baro gave no issues. Near perfect elevation profiles all the time (auto calib off now).
This morning, unexpectedly, I calibrated at 148m and noticed during the ride that ascent-descent were fixed on 0. Elev stayed on 148 all the time.
I stopped, asked around and they told me I was at 350m... so I switched off the F5x and upon turning it on I calibrated the altitude and went off. Again, 0 descent/ascent... and back home at 148 it's still on 350.

Basically today the baro decided to stay fixed where I tell it to be and doesn't react to changes of elevation. I calibrated again after rebooting but no change whatsoever. 148 is ground level it should be 152 now but it isn't.

I activated again the baro widget and saw the pressure was on 80.000. Maybe it's just out of range so I calibrated the baro with the pressure at sea level THEN inputterd the altitude. Will let you know but I'm seriously worried. This is not an intermittent annoyance like the cable but surely needs to be fixed ASAP ... which means even if I don't want, I'm gonna have to do an RMA.

Anybody noticed such strange behavior? Is there a software test I can run?

    Confirmed dead baro.
    Executing RMA.
  • Doh - I sent back three Microsoft Band V2s with that issue. Hopefully its not a sign of similar things to come with the 5X!

The baro is really the only instrument that has to be exposed to the outer environment and, as such it's the weak spot of the whole compartment.

Happened with 4 FR910XT in a row... the real issue is that I am really lost without the watch and I am sure to be in this state for a whole month. I hope for 3 weeks but it would be a miracle. Looking at the bright side, hopefully I'll have the new connectors and forget the USB cable problem... an annoyance I had decided to live with but when the baro broke... no other option.
