HR Sensor wrist stopped working

Hello,

I wear my Fenix 5x 24/7. Until yesterday everything was fine including the wrist HR sensor.

Literally over night the sensor has stopped working. The green lights do also not flashing anymore. I have checked already the settings, HR wrist sensor is activated. Also rebooting of the watch was no solution.

By the way HR belt is recognized and transmits HR data properly.

Does anybody the same issue and maybe already the solution?

Thanks

    Hello,
is this happened after you tried chestbelt? if so try to disable chestbelt in settings? Maybe watch is trying to read from the chestbelt first.
  • Thank you but this was unfortunately not the solution.

I have also resetted to factory settings.

I checked my Garmin Connect data again. Yes, I have worn my chestbelt during a treadmill unit. It seems that the HR signal has broken down abruptly, ie from a higher HR rate (124 bpm) down to nothing.

I have tried your suggestion and disabled the chestbelt. But still no HR data are received by the watch.

I have now applied for guarantee as it seems that it could be a hardware failure.

It was a good suggestion because in presence of a HRM (any of the 3) the OHR is disabled. At times it also gets disabled when you have connection issues with the cable but after you reboot it the OHR starts working again: I'm afraid your OHR is broken and you have no other option but a replacement via tech support.
