Walk activity removed by software 6.0 update?

I loved using the 'walk' activity on my Fenix 5X but found that since updating to version 6.0 it's gone!

I've not removed it or even altered it, I just came to do a walk tonight and the only option I had was 'hike'.

I used to use 'walk' for short walks and 'hike' when out all day. It makes it easier in my app to keep my short and long walks sorted.

Can someone confirm to me if they still have 'walk' on version 6.0 please?

The Walk app is still on mine after going from 6.0 > 6.71.

Still have it on 6.0; haven't tried the beta yet.

It's back.

I had to do a factory reset of the watch and reinstall and set everything up again.

Second factory reset since owning the watch! Not good.

Its some kind of bug that exists since almost the release of the Fenix watches. I've lost the strength app in an older FW version.
You can either bring it back with a factory reset or copy the activity file from another watch.that is working properly.

I have the same problem.

I have had my fenix 5x for less than a week and Walk is the app/feature I used the most.

It disappeared yesterday or the day before.

How do I get it back?

Is a hard reset the only option? If so, how do I do that (reset)?

What precautions do I need to take before doing a reset? backup?

Sorry for all the questions and thank you for any help you can offer.

It happened me too so I copied walk.fit back. Now 'Walk' is missing from my activities but I can see 'Walk' in 'Add+'-option. But my watch only tries to copy it as 'Walk' is already there... Have to go with the factory reset :(

Edit: I actually found out that you can re-install missing apps with Garmin Express so everything is back to normal now :)
