Watch won't start - Black Screen

Since about v6 firmware I have had two occasions when the watch has gone black screen and I couldn't power it back on. Plugging it into charge fixed it the first time and I am still trying to get it going the 2nd time.

Anyone else has this and know if it's hardware or a full reset? Is there a button sequence for a factory reset?

So still haven't managed to get it going properly.

Managed to get it recognised as a drive and deleted the /GPX an /Activity folders and refreshed the firmware with 7.31. I ejected it from the PC without unplugging it and it asked to update the firmware. I let it but it said the battery was too low, even though it shows 100% charged. Tried again and it accepted it, updated and rebooted starting up as normal. Once it was completely up I unplugged the cable and BOOM! completely dead again. I'm going to leave it to charge for a couple of hours while I dust off the 3HR.

This won't help you, but I did have the same problem. I wasn't able to get it working again so I returned it to REI and bought a FR935. I'm happy with the switch. GPS track and acquisition time on my 5X were pretty horrible. The 935 is great so far and I saved $200.

So latest update is that it works when connected to the PC and not otherwise. Battery reckons it's at 100% although I am getting mixed readings. one minutes 65% next 100% then 89% all in about 10 minutes.

I can only guess that a connection to the battery has gone array internally.
