I thought I tried it after 6.0 came out and my settings remained after a synch. Just tried it again and it cleared after a synch. When is this getting fixed???????
This is something that needs sorting with Garmin Connect; enough people have reported the issue and it was 'recognised' on these forums by a Garmin admin when it was first noted shortly after release of the Fenix 5 series and 935 watches. Until the fix is made so that Garmin Connect does not over-write an alarm or setting made on the watch, that is more recently made than the settings in Garmin Connect (website or GCM app), then the only reliable way to set alarms is to set them on the GCM app or on the website and then sync to the watch. The ideal would be a genuine 2 way sync of alarms and settings between watch and Garmin Connect, where the newest setting wins the sync, but until that comes you just have to accept that Garmin Connect will win (maybe not until several syncs, but it will win and overwrite what is on the watch eventually).
When will this very basic feature get resolved? Set an alarm on the watch, perform a synch on GC app on android, alarm settings vanishes. Lets go Garmin! While you are at it, can you make the navigation track line width a bit wider, its thinner than the F3 and harder to see, especially if you have map details mixed in there.
