Invalid Activity File - My first ultra triathlon!

Hi All,

Yesterday I did my first Ultra distance triathlon and the activity file on my Garmin Fenix 5 wouldn't sync with the mobile connect app. When I connected the watch to Mac via Garmin express, it says that the activity file is invalid. (The same thing happened to me with a swim about a month ago). All the details of the race still show on the watch itself.

Does anyone have a solution to recover the file and to prevent the problem in future. Any help would be most appreciated (Obviously the data from the race is very important to me).

Can you attach the file in a reply to this post? Or if it's too big then get yourself a free DRopbox account, upload the file to there and share the link in a reply.

I can then see if your data is recoverable.

The filesize is just under 400kb.

hi Dean,

FFRT didn't report anything wrong with your file so it may have subtly fixed something in the background. And not sure if this is a common issue or not although I have looked at 3 or 4 Fenix5 files over the last couple of days that were causing issues.

Give this file a try.
