Woke up this morning to find my 5S stuck with the message 'Installing Sensor Hub Update'. Looking at the forums it looks like 6.0 is rolling out, so I'm wondering if this is related. Was able to power down and getting restart the watch. Showing 5.4 firmware. Any ideas? Will it try again to install the firmware?
Hi - woke up this morning to the same, and came here to search for tips on what to do - trying reset. It worked. And that sucks. Seems I am not the only one!
Same. You can reset by holding the light button for like 15s. Then after it is off, pressing the button again to turn it back on. Like a computer, people are going to start saying 'did you try turning it off and back on?' Good thing I didn't need my alarm to wake me up this morning.
Now the same thing is happening when "Installing wifi update" Watch frozen. Couldn't log my ride this morning, but have just reset by holding the top left light button for 15 s (thanks for the tip midknightr) BTW the watch is a 935, not a Fenix 5, but I believe they are very similar, so apologies for a cross post. Yet again I'm unimpressed by Garmin watch software quality control.
Not only was it showing this update stuff, the alarm worked and so did the step counting..just held down the light button as mentioned and it was OK. Thanks
