6.0 update for fenix 5/5s - what about wifi?

On the f5x with 6.00

Does your watch have WiFi? (sapphire F5 devices)

one other thought about the Wi-Fi is I don't know if it necessarily supports wireless N. The only thing I can see in the documentation of specifications is that it operates at 2.4GHz but that's the same frequency that Bluetooth operates. I suppose they are implying that both radios are only compliant with that frequency- I.e. it'll only connect to wireless G networks.

• Added support for setting up Wi-Fi Networks on device. After syncing with Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile at least once, go to Settings > Wi-FI > Add Network to search for Wi-Fi networks. Select a network. If the network is secure, enter its password to join it.

I can't find it either. Could it be either a bug or a mistakenly put on the list of new features ?

Problem is that Ithere is no Wi-Fi setting under the settings menu.

This doesn't add Wifi to a watch. It only makes it easier to configure a wifi network if you have a watch with wifi, Before this you had to use Garmin Express to configure your network.

Cool the new wifi settings in 5x however i cant find my home network, but if i setup an android hotspot i can connect to the hotspot from my phone.

Ok. It was my misunderstanding then. IMO it wasn't quite clear on the changelog https://forums.garmin.com/forum/on-the-trail/wrist-worn/fenix-5-5s/1254092-fenix-5-5s-production-software-now-available-100-rollout . I was actually surprised about the addition which wasn't an addition after all.

Well if you're going through your phone you might as well make it easy and use bluetooth.

Is it maybe that 5x wifi isnt 5ghz or why cant the watch find the homenetwork with visible ssid? But connects fine to Android hotspot.
Thought send hf only works with wifi cause it shows wifi symbol.
