Some issues and doubts

Hi all,
I'm new Fenix 5X user, I come from Suunto Ambit3 Peak, and its a big change to me.
I asked Garmin support about some doubts and issues i have, and i post here my questions and support answers.
I hope it could help someone.

1- Wi-Fi doesnt connect automatically. Tried to set from Garmin Express, changing some features from router, and nothing. Only connect when i select "Syncro" from light button menu.
Answer: The watch synchronization happens at 0:00 hours ( -_-a), and not syncro when the watch has a new activity, always syncro at that hour. (I cant understand this wifi feature).

2- Could I set activity screens/displays from PC or mobile? I only can change them from watch.
Answer: Only from watch. (I come from Suunto and all features are suitables from Movescount web and app).

3- I have Garmin Etrex 30. Is able to transfer Etrex tracks to Fenix 5x? Im tried but i couldnt.
Answer: We will not have that feature.

5- Into Fenix 5X, I see uncomplete track names. For example, i have track named "Perdiguero desde Literola", and Fenix shows me "Perdiguer". And display dont move horizontally to could see the rest of name track.
Answer: Garmin support recommends not set more than 8 chars the track names. I honestly dont understand how a 749? watch HAVENT GOT some basic features like a longer file name length.

So I hope these answers could help to someone like to me.

This is not entirely correct. You can upload an etrex 30 activity into Garmin Connect, then create a course out of it, and then send the course to your F5.

This is how it is supposed to be if setting them from both watch and mobile is not possible. I have been stuck countless of times with no way of customizing the screens because of no cell coverage with both Polar and Suunto products.

I do agree that it should be possible to set the configuration also from the web / phone app. But until there is more than one way to customize the watch is the right place.

This is not entirely correct. You can upload an etrex 30 activity into Garmin Connect, then create a course out of it, and then send the course to your F5.

I mean transfer from Etrex 30 to Fenix 5X. Etrex has that feature, i thought i could do that, but no.
Of course i could make using Basecamp or another way, in fact i do using Basecamp.

I admit it would have been nice feature to do it through mobile or PC, however it is so easy on the watch that I did it during running because I was missing something on the screen. It is still measuring and youcan adapt data screens, no need of internet, whatevrr. I personally find this as a step advance.

I was about to say that people who request this feature clearly never owned a Suunto product. But you have. And you still want this feature. You must've been very lucky with not having any Movescount outages/no internet connection/app issues and not being able to configure your watch.
