I have configured some intervall-trainings in Garmin-connect and synced with the watch. Then I start "running", go to "training" and start my intervall-training that I have synced (that means I start no intervall-training that you can configure in the watch itself). Garmin shows then an additional datafield (that matchs to an intervall-training). This is shown only when I start an intervall-training. It is pretty usefull but not perfect. I don?t want to see only the heartrate-zone but also the heartrate itself. Is it possible to edit this special datafield?
You can?t edit the interval screen but you can page to other data screens that are part of the activity. Just set a datascreen up for the fields you want to see and scroll to that.
If you use a custom heart rate zone (where you define the min and max BPM), then you see the exact heart rate, which I agree is a lot more useful than the zone numbers.
Please more details! What do you mean with "using a custom heart rate zone ( ...min and max)". Do you mean there where I configure the training in Garmin-connect?
Yes, when you create a custom workout on Garmin connect ( both on the website and on the app) you can specify the target as one of the 5 zones or as a custom one.
On the screenshot the first step has a custom zone, the second one of the hard coded zones and the on the last you can see the dropdown where you pick them
Nice workaround. Thanks for drawing attention to that. Like the OP I would prefer HR display. Usually I use the intervals settings on the watch rather than upload a workout, though.
