Does anyone has a solution for a Fenix 5, sapphire WIFI to improve the BT connection distance with external sensors? If the distance is more the 17 feet (50 cm) or there's some in the way (for example an arm:-) the Fenix disconnects the BT sensor.
That's the exact distance I observed with a fenix 5 and BT sensor disconnects. However, between the 5 and an iPhone 6S+, it was more like 35 feet. With the 5X I have now, it stays connected for distances that I forget until it gives the disconnected/connected notification, and that's lots more; probably twice the distance. The 5X, besides some weirdness with firmware/software stuff, I'm impressed.
