Garmin Express Cycling Map Update Failure

I'm on the latest beta for my 5x and I noticed today when I tried to sync the watch via Garmin Express that a map update is available for the cycling map. This fails at the "preparing device" phase. I have almost 6GB of free space, so I don't think that is the issue as the file size of the update is listed a 2.13GB.

I've sent the express log to Garmin but there isn't anything really obvious there

Basically there is a line that says
"System.AggregateException: A Task's exception(s) were not observed either by Waiting on the Task or accessing its Exception property. As a result, the unobserved exception was rethrown by the finalizer thread. ---> System.ServiceModel.FaultException: The creator of this fault did not specify a Reason."

which appears to be another way of saying "this went poorly."

Is anyone else seeing this error?

I emailed the beta team again and gave them a link to this post. I'm not expecting much of a response, but maybe we'll all be surprised.

I emailed them two times, no answer yet. No fix yet. The same mistake / issue for the third time. I do not understand, why they dont test it.
If I do mistake for the first time, OK, it could happen. For the second time, yes, it is not normal, but it can happen again. BUT FOR THE THIRD TIME, IT IS REALY UNUSUAL. To prevent this, I will test it before third edition. Nobody in Garmin did it.
Why? Who is responsible for this? If I do it in a company, I will be fired.

Can't update cycling maps with Garmin Express 5.6.2 on Windows 7...

Same error (fenix 5.40) and in Express logs there is:

Garmin.Omt.Service.Operation.Map.InvalidMapInstallException: Could not determine where to install the map.

It has nothing to do with windows or anything its Garmin fault

New update this week 2017 cycling map, last week I think it was a 2016 date. Still fails, worked on my 1030

I have just received answer from the beta team:
"Thank you for your email, I am sorry that there are continued problems with the CycleMap update. I want to assure you that the Cartography team and Garmin Express teams are working to address the issue."
So I hope it will be soon ok. :-)

And it looks like the map update has been pulled again. 4th time lucky maybe?

A new version of Garmin Express (v 5.7.0.0) is available.
