v5.83 barometer calibration

Hi all

I updated last night to the latest beta and went to check the barometer calibration screen
To my surprise, I got the exact same screen for calibrating the altimeter
At first I thought I selected the altimeter menu instead of the barometer one
Went back to the menu and selected Barometer -> Calibrate and indeed I get the altimeter calibration screen
What do you see in the Calibrate screen?

Regards
  • That's not the last thing you do there. After you have calibrated the elevation, you get another page letting you set the sea level barometric pressure. To be clear, it doesn't let you set elevation by entering the current sea level pressure; it lets you correct any offset in the barometer's absolute calibration, so that when the watch is reading the correct elevation, it will also read the correct sea level pressure.

Thanks. I saw the altimeter calibration screen and though that something was wrong
Followed your instructions and now I see it.
It would be nice however, to be able to calibrate the altimeter based on the pressure. Just like suuntos do

    Thanks again
  • Agreed - given that you can now correct any offset in the barometer's absolute calibration, you'd be able to calibrate the altimeter with just a weather forecast.
