Elevation corrections enabled?

For some time (approximately since mid-July) all my activities uploaded from Fenix 5 have elevation corrections enabled. Does anyone experience the same behaviour? Fenix 5 has barometric altimeter so corrections should be disabled, as they have been before.
  • Then disable it ...not in the watch but on Garmin connect Website. As far as I know elevation correction is not controlled by Garmins devices.
  • So the dreaded Elevation Corrections are creeping back  https://forums.garmin.com/forum/into-sports/garmin-connect/138105- There is no control for this in Garmin Connect (there used to be in the very old Garmin Connect Classic of a few years ago) or on the watch; its purely down to whether the Garmin Connect servers are correctly recognising your device as one with a barometric altimeter. The only thing to try first is to remove your Fenix 5 from Garmin Connect, Garmin Connect Mobile and 'my products' at garmin.com (you might not know/realise, but your a Fenix 5 is also registered to your account on garmin.com when you first set it up with Garmin Connect, it doesn't get removed from this account when you remove from Garmin Connect, so you have to do that manually). If the removal and repairing does not work, then raise a support ticket with Garmin, as they'll have to tackle the issue through the Garmin Connect team.
  • Then disable it ...not in the watch but on Garmin connect Website. As far as I know elevation correction is not controlled by Garmins devices.

I'd need to do it for every activity and even after I disable it after activity is uploaded, the elevation data remains "corrected".
