So, i wanted to update my fenix 5 to 5.40 though the garmin android app, but I kept getting the ''not enough storage'' error. I deleted most of my activities from the watch but I still received the error. Checked the storage space through garmin express and i wasn't even remotely full. Eventually the updated was made through garmin express, but just wanted to know if anyone else received the error when trying to update with the app. Thanks!
I had this issue with my old VAHR... I think it was due to the language updates. I removed all of the language updates from the queue in Garmin Express and was able to get the main update to install normally. Hope this helps!
Had the same error with my Fenix 5 sapphire trying to update with Garmin connect over bluetooth. Deleted all activities and a bunch of old watch faces I never use, but the error kept coming. Somehow, the next morning, my watch had updated to the latest FW. This is the first and only time I have experienced any issued with my F5.
Had the same. Removed some activities from the watch but the error kept coming. Meanwhile I noticed the update had already loaded on my watch and did the update there. The app still wanted to push the update through though constantly giving the storage low message.
After the update finally had synced through the phone app I started getting bluetooth troubleshooting messages even when the watch was still connected. So finally when nothing else seemed to work I removed the phone app and reinstalled. So far seems to work ok.
My guess is that something went wrong with the connect mobile app and the watch connection during the last updates.
I had the same issue. I deactivated the automatic update in settings. Then I just had to select Update in settings (after the file has been downloaded) and all went fine.
