Yes, you can display watch data on other Garmin devices (for my part I was able to connect to my Edge 820 and show watch data on the Edge).

I can't find any info on this. Searched the web and manual. It would be good if you could display data on smartphone via an app.

I've only read about it for Edge 820 so far. I have an Edge 520 and really hope this feature comes to it as well....

Varia vision is compatible. I though it was the only compatible device. Interesting that an Edge device works.

Wondering if you were still able to use the GPS Map features of the 820 while also using the extended display features from the watch? I'm wondering if the 820 becomes just a "dumb display" for the watch or if its still a fully functioning map device while also being the extended display for the watch? TIA.
