5.40 Change Log Notes:

Fixed an issue in which optical heart rate became much less precise during an activity if Connect IQ apps were installed on the watch.
Fixed an issue in which the prompt to enter scores between holes during Golf activities was not shown.

So if I've already installed 5.33 beta and I don't care about golf then don't bother with 5.40. Right?

Two things:

1. Why does the GPS file always have to be overwritten but no other file does (except the text files)?
2. Why doesn't the beta team put the files in the folder structure to match the watch, just to make it easier to install?

Well it's a beta test effort, so if you want to make sure that this fix for golf doesn't affect anything you care about, better test it out before it becomes official. Right?

I do not think that in 5.33 and 5.40 ohr same fix, it would be nonesense, never was before and do not need to do that.

Strange that they do not include details of fixes such as this in the release notes. I understand that some things will never be mentioned, but something as big as this I would expect to see.

I sent this to the Beta Software team, but am curious if i am the only one. The HRV Stress app is not syncing with Garmin Connect since the last couple of software updates. I've been doing this test every morning this week and haven't seen a result show up via the web or the phone app except for Tuesday. Is anyone else seeing this? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1247090.jpg

In line with all of the various bloggers' info published in the last 2 days, perhaps GC is now configuring things in readiness to receive data from 24 hrs Stress monitoring instead?

I was wondering the same. I find the HRV Stress app to be way more useful than I initially thought. So 24hr stress monitoring will be nice if it is as accurate/useful as that morning test for telling me my recovery status. Ideally they will figure out how to integrate it into the recovery timer as well. When i get a lower stress score i generally end up with productive training. When I was stuck in high stress i was seeing unproductive training. Looking at my HR graphs vs my run pace, the assessment was right on. So something I was initially very skeptical about turns out to be a pretty good predictor of performance. I hope they implement the 24hr monitoring in such a way as to compliment our ability to determine recovery status.

Distance Remaining Bug while navigating. Screenshots taken at same time. Shouldn't the 0.18 mi and 0.14 mi be the exact same number?
