Fenix 5x - steps accuracy

Hello,
I?m using my Fenix 5x also to count my steps. What I?m seeing at the moment that the step count during the night gets up when I use to wear the watch. Also during car driving my steps are getting up.
Has anyone a similar experience or knows how to deal with it? Support tells me to take it to the other hand (not the leading one) or to take it to my pocket. This makes no sense, I?ve bought a wrist watch, not a pocket watch.

Yes I also noticed that in the car happen to tell me I reached the goal while sitting there, so sometimes it probably evaluates some hand move as a step. Not dramatic in numbers I think. Number of steps is not an important parameter for me therefore never went deeper on this topic.

try disabling the MoveIQ feature. From the Step Counter, press/hold the menu button, select Steps Options, scroll to bottom and turn off MoveIQ.

That seemed to work for me.. of course, this may affect other features, but ...
