I agree that it seems odd that Alarms is the one thing missing from hot keys or controls menu, particularly as virtually everything else can be added to the controls menu now. That said, setting the alarms on the watch is currently pointless, as whatever is set is overwritten by the Garmin Connect settings when synced. I see fixing that, by 2 way sync implementation or other means, as a critical step before making the alarms quicker/easier to set on the watch.
