RACE ACTIVITY 5.30 - doesnt work

Just sent it. This problem which I have - is it only me or somebody else?

The problem still the same as with 5.10. With version 4.10 it was OK:
After MASTER RESET and downloading 5.30.
Run - race activity - history - (select activity) - start (after GPS fix).
The field above arrows are still empty - see attached photo. :-((

This update gets "pushed" out to user groups starting off small and spreading to others later. This is Garmin's new update process, as described in the post announcing 5.30; I am failing to spot what has changed from 5.10 to 5.30, though?

It looks like the change was more to do with the distribution of the firmware than anything else.

when I set up F5x Wifi and connect to PC and phone, disconnect, suddenly I saw 1 update 5.30 available, time aprox. 1 minute (or something like this). I hoped, the solution of that problem comes up, but it is the same. In 4.10 no problem, worked OK.

No with me is just the same on two fenix 5x watches. Because of that problem I got new one which was not jet upgraded to latest firmware and after the upgrade was just the same. Garmin is unfortunately haveing us for beta testers.

... and back to the topic: How the Race an Activity should work ?
Because today I was pretty convinced that time ahead looked like time behind. I was even trying to walk, but the time difference was still strange. the virtual partner's pace is change with splits or does it follow only the AVG pace like it was in fenix 1?
And what is the point of the field where two guys run together if there is only one of them for 90% of the duration of activity, regardles of time difference between them 10s or 5 mins. - the animation looked much alike. This field is pointless, other information would be more valuable - like your pace against virt.part. pace for current lap or something.
Timing information has more informative value.
And doing a race during trail running is quite questionable without proper navigation - Can I combine race an activity with navigation on the same activity ? If I want to beat myself I need to follow the same course as last time.
Strava segment alerts don't work during race an activity ? :-o
