I'm using Fenix 5x for water-based activities such as SUP, windsurf, & kitesurf and wearing Tri HRM. Distance and time record without problem but calories do not. Any suggestions as to correction?
Are you sure when you close the log you're getting the HR downloaded to the watch? The external HRMs broadcast but also record independently to deliver when you close the log but when you do, the connection can't be severed by water. I use the HRM Swim all the time and I've never had issues of this kind so I figure you're doing something wrong.
Although the OHR is disabled when the external HRM are connected, I was suggested to remove any HR data field (including HR gauge) from the activity. If you do download but still have the problems, try this second solution.
