All of a sudden Training Status ignores my workouts

After almost a hundred of workouts with my F5 the watch has started to ignore any activity and as such my Training Status is decreasing day after day.

I was on stable 4.10 and after two ignored workouts I thought I should move to beta 5.09 and today, after another workout, the issue persists. And yes, I have a HRM-Run belt and all the data in the workouts appear to be just fine.

Anone else getting this behaviour? Am I missing something? I have not changed anything in the watch. Any help would be appreciated.
  • Hi,

I've had one workout (run) not recognised by my fenix 5 which was odd I thought but its only been the one run not registered. All other runs before and after then have been picked up. Have you had any resolve in using software version 5.4.0?
  • I did a ultra run Saturday, 14hrs with a very low HR (average 121) and it was ignored. I did a recovery bike yesterday, 30min and it was taken into account!
  • Out of curiosity, how do you know that a single activity was not recognized (in context of the training score)?

My training status has dropped out as well - but I still have a training load score.
We've discussed it before I'm sure but it's to do with how often the watch has updated your VO2Max score.
As I haven't done a lot of running recently the watch appears to ignore my current VO2Max because it's not recent enough.
In fact it's even telling me that I need to do two runs with VO2Max scores calculated in order to show my training status - the same message you get when you first get the watch.

Knowing that trail runs are ignored for VO2Max purposes (meste7 I assume your ultra was logged as a trail run?) but cycling isn't may be the reason you got the training status back after the bike ride but not the run?

Yes, I look at the training load and it is lower than a day before, and imediatelly after the workout, the score is the same in the watch.
  • Same here. Did a 20k run in HR Zone 3 yesterday but but training load decreases.

You are right Carl, trail is ignored, I knew that, but when I do core training, the Training level is updated! why not trail? And after 14hrs I was expecting at least something...
  • Training load is a rolling 7 day aggregate so even if you run today if you ran further 8 days ago then the training load will go down
  • I have a strange training load for the last days too. I did runs, but these runs aren't count in. Even after today's run my training load does not change almost - increased from 420 to 439, but I did more than 1 hour run with high HR, and previously runs like this made more impact on training load. Now I have training status recovery despite I do trainings.

Yes, I know that. But, even with consistent trainings every week, my training load iterates between > 800 and < 300. I did a fast 10k on Sunday and a moderate 20k yesterday (which is even more than the week before), but training load decreases by 300 since then.
