Swimming and running accuracy

My Fenix 5x during 2000m swimming in the pool doesn`t count full distance. Usually missing 100-150m. This is happening from about 2 weeks. Previously it was good. Pool length is 25 meters and garmin is set to 25m. Second problem is GPS accuracy. My girlfriend has Fenix 5s. When we are running together about 10km, her fenix 5s shows 10k, my fenix 5x 9,8-9,9km. What should I do?

In regards with pool accuracy I've written a guide that will surely help you.

As far as the GPS goes... I've had the foot pod for a year now and it's still in the box. Maybe I should write a guide for running too but the general guideline is that in the same scenario some watches work better on someone and the same watches work bad on someone else. This has to do with posture (body masking the sky) or position (the GPS of the fenix model is weaker than its counterparts, so, for example, if you run closer to the building while your partner is farther from the building that's about it). Speed surely helps: the watch becomes more and more accurate the faster you go (same open sky scenario, all wrong walking 7km/h, straight line 100% accuracy running 13-14/km/h in the very same spot).

Seriously, run like there's no tomorrow and even in dense urban like in my case, unless in presence of high-rises, you should have no issues. Unfortunately we don't choose where we live so, keep in mind that foot pod is a MUST for the Fenix models and a small expense will turn your problem into a thing of the past you will laugh about.
