Are you talking about the audio beeps when you coming to a turning? if so then you turn them on in the settings on the watch under settings and navigation

Click on the 5x in the GC app and go to device settings, There is an audio prompts menu item. Can set lap alerts, nav alerts, etc, so phone talks when the frequency (set) is hit.
I never got it to do turn by turn audio on the phone though. I tried a few times with routes but to be honest, i end up just using google maps because of the larger display! The maps haven't quite made it past being a novelty yet, for me.
Do not understand the option ... there is a function to get voice notifications for navigation, only nobody knows how to work ... meanwhile, have contacted garmin via mail but have not received an answer yet!

And as if to prove me wrong with novelty... was riding yesterday and did a reverse on a forest loop. Came up to a 2 way split and went down (i thought) the wrong path. Doubled back and confused myself with which way to go. I flicked to the map on the watch, saw where I had been, zoomed out and saw where I needed to go! The path only shows on the Garmin cycle map - not on the phone maps. So the maps become more than a novelty :-)

I use it to track average speed, etc, per mile on rides - find it very useful. Now if could just get it to say 'turn left' on uploaded gpx files or even better, have the virtual rider give feedback via voice - '1 minute behind'
Can this feature be used only with a gpx file / mountbike? I want to use it on running. Navigate make a route. Anyone already tried this?Turn by turn audio alerts.
