Bike cadence sensor

i am using my Fenix 5x coupled with bike speed and cadence sensors. While the speed sensor always connects when I start an activity, the candence sensor does not always connect. I often have to manually search the sensor from the Parameters / Sensors setup procedure. Any idea why and how to solve this ?

To start with, replace the battery. For me, when my Cadence Sensor battery gets weak it takes longer to connect, if ever.

Thank you, I changed the battery 2 weeks ago when I was experiencing connection problems. I still have problems with the new battery. I would think that battery life should be longer. How long does yours last ?

Also, when I manually search for the sensor, the watch has no problem connecting to it.

I have the same thing already 1 year. No battery problem. Just before ride I always cadance by hand clockwise few circles fast. oh yes put the sensoron middle pedal hand.
