Fenix 5x - HR Sensor glass defect

Hi everyone,

Do we have here somebody with the similar issue? See pictures.
I found some wierd cracks on the HR sensor glass. They appeared from nowhere, no phisical demage happened.

Wasn't it caused by touching with metal part of armband? Anyway there are tols like brushing paste which is able to clean scratched cd's so that may be the way too.

That looks odd! Like it cracked on the inside! I checked mine for sanity and is ok. Did send the pics to Garmin?

No, there are no parts of metal band which can cause sucgh a cracks.

Yes, I did, but nothing meaningful in return from Garmin. Going to send for replacement.

I have seen similar posts for the 235 and fenix 3 HR. Do a search "cracked" on this forum and you'll find them.

I had my 3HR replaced under warranty for exactly this reason.

Same thing happened to me with my 5X... One day to another it was like that, and the only times I take it off is for taking a shower, and always take care of that part because I know that it cannot get scratch... It never felt or something like that... Is like it gets scratch for nothing...
