Hi all, I have my original Garmin flame red silicon band now for about 4 weeks. I am on Holliday right now in Italy (lots of sun) and the red color is already fading/bleaching.. so..one week Italian sun is too much for such an expensive outdoor band? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1236582.jpg
I think you may have just gotten a bad band. I have the 5 version of that band and wear it quite often in New Mexico sun which is generally worse than you'd experience in Italy. So far mine is holding the red color just fine.

Does not appear like sun bleaching too me, looks more like chlorine bleaching. Did you swim with it in a pool? If you swim in pools after pool closing time in the evenings sometimes they are being highly chlorinated then which might damage bright colors on silicone.
Another cause is if you swim in the ocean and you swim trough gasoline released by boats/jet skis. That might also cause damage. Bug repellent for mosquito's can also cause this.
And the wristband is not bleached equally, the upper part that is most exposed to the sun is bleached more, so I guess it can't be the water/chlorine. I also don't use bug repellent
I would contact Garmin for a replacement. I have used my Garmin Fenix 5x with a green and red band in Crete and Mexico without any particular issue with fading.
