4.16 Change Log Notes:
  • Fixed a potential issue where the data field page may have ghost lines when visiting the DogTracker page during an activity.
  • Fixed an issue where the gesture backlight was not working as expected during Do Not Disturb.
  • Improved the user experience and accuracy of the Round-trip Course feature.
  • I experienced the following problem several times with this Beta version and previous ones: When I pause an activity (press Stop button) and then scroll through the data screens the watch reboots when I switch to the map data screen. Same happened in 'resume later' status. After rebooting all activity data seem to be OK however when I resume the activity and later save the total activity training effects and intensity minutes are lost.

Could someone test this with a beta firmware, and set:

[Menu] -> Settings -> Activities & Apps -> Run -> Run Settings -> Auto Lap -> Lap Alert -> Secondary Field -> More -> Run Dynamics -> Lap GCT Bal. [or "Avg. GCT Bal." or "GCT Balance"]

With the regular firmware 4.10 it shows as a totally black field both in the "Preview" and when lapping in an actual activity [RDPod connected and showing correct values on the normal RD screens].

All the other 'Running Dynamics' values are visible when set as a "Secondary Field".

The 'GCT Balance' values can be set as a "Primary Field", though it shows up with a tiny font, and then one can use the "Secondary Field" for 'Lap Time' stuff. But it is such a silly little bug to remain, not least because it disturbs the symmetry and readability of the whole watch screen.

Thank you. Will send bug letter. If they can fix cosmetics for the DogTracker, then surely they can for the Run app...

Tried to recreate this, but it works fine on my watch.

    950XL Windows 10 Mobile [10.0.15063.414]
    Garmin Connect [3.19.0.0]

I had the same problem but in my case non-stoping activity, wanting to look at the map training, the clock restarted, I was able to continue with the activity without problems.
When I saved the activity training effects and intensity minutes are lost too.
  • Very strange but my running VO2Max is staying 41 unchangeable in Garmin Connect but on 5x it is already 42 about month, and stress HR tests are not going in Garmin Connect.
And as I see for a long time people are writing here many times about both these problems but no any changes from Garmin team, even no any answers and comments about them? Hello, Garmin Team, are you going to resolve it at last!!!? Or just say something, maybe it was made specially in such way?

I had the issue as well but it was with Garmin Connect and not with the watch itself.
My issue went away by itself.

    same problem
  • Since I put this on the watch I've not gotten training status -- I AM getting a VO2Max update, but the rest of the training status information (load) is missing.

Activities are syncing, but I have two runs that haven't shown up at all in the training load state in the last two days, and now the watch claims "Detraining".....

This started right with this firmware update.... Will report via email as well.
