4.16 Change Log Notes:
• Fixed a potential issue where the data field page may have ghost lines when visiting the DogTracker page during an activity.
• Fixed an issue where the gesture backlight was not working as expected during Do Not Disturb.
• Installed fine last night.

Issues I still had with 4.14 included persistent Move alert, Move bar cleared, Connected and Disconnected notifications. In this mode the back button is needed to clear the notifications. The other issue is with the charging screen freezing after a few minutes of being connected to a USB port.

These issues are not addressed in the log, but you never know...
• Garmin programmers/manager, are you idiots?
Device not correctly calculated calories/Training Load/Training Effect/EPOC/charging screen freezing/delay USB connect/Drops Training Status

But you fix DogTracker issues.

Dear Pavlinux, please apologies for your language, I am sure you did not want to sound that harsh, but it did sound like that. This is a beta forum and you should appreciate the trouble of the programmers at least.

Just to add that I am a simple user of Garmin...
• Okay I'm going to have to roll-back to 4.10 again. I'm still getting the ridiculous times on my activities. The problem was present in 4.14 but it wasn't happening for every activity like it was in 4.12
But now in 4.16 it has happened with every activity. I'm not going to log it with the beta team as I've already done so and I deleted the activities immediately.

I really hope this gets solved before the next production update rolls out.
• carl.andersson - Are you seeing the bug with every activity type, or just gym workouts? I haven't seen any issues with running activities, but I'd like to see if I can reproduce it if you can give me some background.

The install was painless for me. I did a 15k race yesterday, and I was actually very happy with the GPS for a change. I wonder if Garmin snuck any changes into this beta version around GPS and pace? On the other hand, this was an easy track for GPS devices since there aren't many obstructions (tress, buildings, etc) on the course.

To be fair I haven't gone for a run since v4.10 rolled out (slack... I know!)
I'm guessing this issue isn't happening in running or cycling activities otherwise there'd be a lot more noise.
I can confirm that it happens for both cardio and strength activities, and the only other person I've seen post about it was also doing gym activities.

Happened to me with all gym, mountain bike, run, and hike activities on 4.14. Same issue on 4.16. Rolled back and notified beta team.
• With v4.16 beta i've noticed many dropouts (connection lost) when syncing over bluetooth with gc on my iPhone 6 (iOS 11 public beta 1). With v4.12 beta bt was fine...
...but for shure - this beta chaos i'm using is not a good start to make serious conclusions... ;)

I have the same hardware and software configurations as you and it is definitely the iPhone beta software to blame. A force close of the GC app on the iphone gets it going again.
• If there are any anomalies, make sure you guys email the beta team. They're generally pretty good about receiving feedback, in my experience. [email protected]
• This beta has proved disastrous for me. The barometer was working just fine with 4.1 except it was thrown by swimming. The beta suggested a fix for this, so I gave it a go. The result: the barometer is now entirely useless. It varies by 100s of metres when I walk a short distance. For example, I calibrated it earlier today at 113 metres, the elevation of my house. After walking half a mile to the shops and back it now reads 427m. I've seen it drop to -200 and go up to +800 from this same calibration with no more than a few metres actual change. So the beta *might* have solved the swimming issue, but the cost is that the barometer doesn't work at all.

Moreover, I tried downgrading back to 4.1, but the problem now persists. Really disappointed.
