will we ever get a gps that is accurate?

i ran the atlanta peachtree 10k today with my 5x. i was extremely disappointed. the course measured in at 6.66 (i know, right) from my garmin. while the course is somewhat narrow, i was able to lock onto gps without issues. i know that gps is a little finicky in big cities, but paying 700 bucks for a watch that measures a course that far off is unacceptable. there's not many "tangents" to run since it's a straight shot down peachtree with one turn onto 10th street. i pretty much hugged the left side of the course the entire route.

looks like things got really wonky at the end as evidenced on the connect site.
