Hi experts - Does creating a route using ridewithgps, exporting it, and converting it to a fit file using mcbadger's tool work for turn by turn navigation with fenix5x? It worked well on my fenix3HR.
Thanks. I tried it during a run today. I did not get any turn by turn directions but I was able to see the map with route highlighted. Is this expected? What should I do to create a fit file that would enable turn by turn directions?
You don't need e paid account it works perfectly with the free version. Export as .tcx file, convert it with mcbadger's tool into a .fit file and copy the file into the newfile folder (exactly as you described it for the F3) Short routes didn't work with the F3 ( < 1 mile?) not tested with the F5X. Max. number of TBT's is still 50! Tested :(
My understanding was that to export the TBT waypoints you do need the paid version. Can you confrim you get TBT on Fenix from free version? EDIT: Just checked. Yes, the cues are included in exported tcx files. So yes it does work on the free version.
What about exporting tcx from starva. I did that last weekend and did not get tbt. I could have sworn this worked at some earlier point. Still confused about tbt, sometimes i get them, others i don't, not sure why.
