TBT is working

I got the TBT working great yesterday.
Was it solved in 4.12 or was it my work flow?
I imported a GPX into gpsies.com. Created waypoints with TBT and other. I did put all waypoints on the course line and didn't move them. Named them with a personal name.
Exported to a GPX track to be able to preview map (bug forme eith fit files) and to get the waypoints to show up as flags.
Exported to TCX course that I then converted to FIT with McBadger tool.
I mortem both to 5x.
I followed the fit file with routing->activity set to hiking and routing to follow course.
TBT showed up from the beginning.

This quite complicated workaround was already working before (at least since a couple of FW versions). Garmin really should work on enabling a straight forward route/track creation in Basecamp without numerous export and import steps to other programs. I'm sure they could do it...;)

Have always done it that way with F3 and now F5X. So nothing new. The issue is Basecamp

Hi can you explain little bit more about this "I followed the fit file with routing->activity set to hiking and routing to follow course."

i did follow same steps but TBT did not work here is what i did

pressed right top button > selected navigate> course > and I hit my course . > watch did not ask me for what activity it is navigation just started and in GC activity was as uknown.

did I missed any step or did wrong?

Top right button-> goto hike/run-> long press middle left-> hike/run settings-> routing->
Activity-> hiking
Courses-> follow course

I didn't get it to work cause I didn't put the TBT waypoints exactly on the line in gpsies.
I've started Basecamp a couple of times, but it's so hard to work with, that I always give up. I think gpsies and routecourse gives me all I want (if 5x could handle all file formats the same).

yes it works thank you . I just returned from bike and during whole activity i get TBT directions nice ! also when i selected MAP i was able see decreasing distance to next turn ;)
