Minimum Pool Length

Hey folks,

I'm picking a Fenix 5 up for open water swimming, running and cycling but I'm going to be away for a month or two with my only access to water being a 12m pool. Any idea if that's supported? I'm not looking for advanced metrics in a 12m pool but a simple lap tracker would be fine until I can get back out to something better.

just tried and the minimum pool length is 17 metres.

17m is smallest pool size you can set up the Pool Swim for on the fenix 5.

but you can set anything, it will count the number of lengths correctly. Then download the .fit file, edit it in http://www.swimmingwatchtools.com/ and reupload it to garmin connect.

You can't "set anything". Try it. As soon as you select a '1' in the tens spot, the choice of the ones digit is 7, 8, or 9 only, which is why 17m is the smallest size pool you can set the minimum pool length for.

By 'anything' I mean set it for 17 or 25m, whatever. After the training you will edit the .fit file and set 12m using the provided page.
