50 course point max exceeded, watch freezes continuously

So loading a course to follow and I got the message that said "50 course point max exceeded, final x points will not be shown". A couple of points

1. The course I am loading is a bike course of an activity I did in the past. What are these course points and why are they limited to 50?
2. Did the same course on the F3 and never got this message
3. Running 4.1 tried to "navigate/courses/pick course/do course" the watch froze with the message above, had to toggle power and try again, second time.....map loaded, held up to zoom and watch froze... toggle power again, third time, watch froze again. Is there an issue when you do course but you are not near the starting point, this is depressing me

@AVIKOREN1 No good news I'm afraid, the 935 has a course point limit of 50 too, down from 100, 200 on the Edge devices, and it gets worse. If the course isn't from GC/GE it looks like the 935 will only start a course from the beginning, no joining a course later, effectively good bye useful course points, hello random sprinkle from GC. Having navigation the way you want is over.

    Probably for the watch:
    - short courses (to ca. 50 pt) = route (possible info: next point, distance to next)
    - long courses = track (no info)

    I apologise for my English

PS. My deliberations in this subject: http://www.garniak.pl/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17364#p198300

@AVIKOREN1 Your question was what are course points? They are a type of point in a course file that when processed by reaching that location, a notification pops up with a symbol and a short text message.

Usually seen as a turn symbol with Left, Right etc. When used this way it is very easy to mistake them for other navigation processes that may also be running, Smith St. etc. But they can be just as useful to indicate water, food, shelter etc. if you have placed then in the file for that purpose, no longer possible with GC. AFAIK they are unique to Garmin and have been one of the most useful navigating aids when in a hurry.

I don't know how they made it into and out of your Activity file into a course file. More than 50 don't create a problem on the 935, other than you won't see them. The reboot issue is probably a course related compatibility fault.

Setting: "use map" (not "follow course"), is recalculating the route on routable map.
When much points = "freezeing" watch. (calculating, calculating ...)
