Quick Connect Metal Band Fit issue with 5x

Hi,

I bought a quick connect steel band about a month ago since I have a Fenix 3, so the 26mm band would work great (and it did). I just splurged and upgraded to the Fenix 5X. Since I already had a steel band, I ordered the 5X with black silicone band.

I was shocked to discover that while the 5X quick connect black band that came with the watch works great, the steel band is insanely tight on one side when you put it on, as if one side of it is too wide for the watch.

Is this common? Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy? Again, I don't think it's the watch...it might just be the band...

My steel band fits perfectly both ways , so I guess yours could be faulty

Just did some rudimentary measuring, and I think you're right. Mine, which was purchased as a standalone band, appears to have one end piece about a half millimeter bigger on one side. I guess once I get my hands on some calipers to confirm, it's time to lob an email into Garmin customer service...

Mine measures exactly 25.96mm at both ends:

Fits perfectly on my fenix 3 and tactix Bravo.
