Floor counter

Can anyone tell me how to stop the watch from showing me the number of floors climbed? The darn thing is so inaccurate that it's just plain annoying now.
  • I know i will probably be burned by this comment: but do we really care about floors climbed? :D I just removed the Widget for Floors climbed...

For the money that I paid for this watch I want it to work as advertised. Simple as that.

Where do we stop? Turn off the notifications that some users are saying don't work properly? Turn off GPS tracking because of drift, same for altimeter/barometer? Oh and the temperature readout is affected by wrist temperature, there are connection dropouts when connected to external sensors so we don't use them either? If I want a ?500+ watch that just tells the time I will wear a watch. I bought the F5 as an upgrade on activity tracking on my Fitbit Blaze whilst I recover from a back injury, the Fitbit which told me the time and counted floors accurately for a third of the cost of the Fenix.

I actually love this watch, what I don't love is Garmin's inability to respond responsibly to the issues that are being raised by their customers.

I have the same issue on my 5. Up/down stairs at home several times during the day and rarely counts the stairs. the distance/height is probably short of Garmin's spec. Wish there was a way to set. Not the end of the world, but would be nice.

For me the floor counter is completely useless.
On my long runs on Sunday it says I have climber 60 floors and descended 58. In reality it is 0 as I don't use any stairs on my run

Yesterday, I was using a sledge hammer, and got 56 floors descended - very strange.
