Please send all bug reports to [email protected], and indicate which model of the fēnix 5 series you have in the subject line.

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience. :)

4.12 Change Log Notes:
• Added support for viewing distances to Golf hazards and course targets. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAceo_zxe6M&en-us=)
• Added support for viewing smart notifications on Varia Vision.
• Added support for new Heart Rate related last lap data fields.
• Improved the altimeter and barometer locking mechanism for water sport activities.
• Fixed an issue where the device stopped recording position information to the FIT file, if a user accessed the widget loop in an activity, while using a Running Dynamics Pod.
• Fixed an issue where the device was unable to sync if a LiveTrack session was currently active.
• Fixed an issue where the user might see a blank black banner while navigating a shorter course.
• Fixed an issue where a storm alert could occur after saving a pool swim activity.
• Fixed an issue where strange characters were appearing on the map for Abu Dhabi.
• Fixed a potential issue where the device would snap the user's track to nearby roads on the map.
• Fixed an issue where strange characters were displayed when viewing Strava segments.
• Added support for Treadmill Calibration. When saving a Treadmill running activity for the first time, you will be given the option to enter the distance that the treadmill recorded. This will improve the accuracy of the distance that the watch records during future treadmill activities, and it will update the overall distance and average pace of the activity you just saved. You can also choose to calibrate when saving any treadmill activity. When you are done with your activity, stop the timer. Scroll down to 'Calibrate & Save.' Then, enter the distance that the treadmill recorded. For accuracy, these options become available when recording an activity longer than 1 mile or 1.5 kilometers.
• Fixed an issue where the device was unable to process large GPX files.
• Fixed an issue where large values for ascent could overlap each other on the elevation plot page.
• Fixed an issue where a FaceIt CIQ watchface would flash, when transitioning to the watch face. (Requires Display 2.31)
• Fixed an issue where Sunrise and Sunset times were showing invalid values on a CIQ watch face. (Requires Display 2.31)

Send all bug reports to [email protected]
• If you guys tell us what you need to be looked at we can EASILY reproduce it and give you lots of data to process and find the solutions.
Keep up with the good work, thanks!

It would be great, but I really doubt its going to happen.
I also think that some personal changes were made in the beta team as they no longer answer in a way that Fenix3 used to.
Now it's most likely no anwers at all, or some generic copy paste message that rarely encourages to follow communication
• Started the watch this morning- went into a reboot loop that I ended with a hard reset (soft reset didn't work);

All settings have now been wiped FML

You and I already knew 2 yrs ago it wasn't gonna happen, man. :)

And no, this about the altimeter was an issue I reported, I had a long conversation with Chris in email for 2 weeks, I proposed a different solution but the problem was there and they did tackle it somehow. Granted, it's not an optimal solution but as far as my personal XP goes, things have changed for the better, which is why I felt encouraged with pushing them a step farther with my statement on communication.

I'm not saying give us access to the bug post but if the guys tell us what they want us to be looking at, it's guaranteed we'll find a ton of data their internal testers cannot deliver.

I stopped calibrating the alti altogether because I don't want the buttons to fail at some point next year. When I checked it was reading 270 (should be 150) and it's ok for an uncalibrated altimeter that usually was at -600 (still at 150) before this patch. ;)
Let's see tomorrow ... gotta get into the habit of calibrating it again now just to see what happens.

Hi,

Just for information, I can't pairing my F5X and my Windows Phone (My android phone dead yesterday).

I use 4.12 beta version and last version of Garmin Connect (3.19.0.0).

The application try to connect before return to the screen "Pairing your Fenix 5X" and the F5X stay in coupling research.

With 4.10 and previous version of GC, I was paired.

It's just for information, i don't really need to paring with windows phone. I use Wi-Fi connection and my android tablet.

Best regards,
Djes

I was never able to pair my Fenix5X with my android mobile (6.0.1 android, xiaomi redmi 4 pro device).
Since day one (almost 3 months now) - no matter what firmware on watch or mobile itself

With my Fenix3, sometime I had trouble to pairing, but not really with Fenix5X on my Sony Z3 Compact and Google Pixel C Tablet. I'm looking in this evening for exact version of android for the both.

• Strava Segments

In Spanish it still does not work well.....

Strava Segments (with german and english names) now show up fine on the watch for me. I had one faulty segment left in the list on the watch after the update to 4.12 which I had to delete manually.

If you still see faulty segments maybe deleting and then syncing them again could fix it.
• Played 18 holes yesterday and the new hazard/dog leg info is awesome. Thanks development team! One question, what happens to the foot pod calibration if I use the treadmill calibration? Will that override the foot pod?
