no beep or vibrate for text notifications

F5x v4.10
GC v3.19
using Samsung S7 edge

i know for sure with F3 and quite sure with earlier firmware on F5x that I got both tone and vibrate for alerts like text message.

i looked at phone settings on watch and the device settings in GC everything indicates it's set up.

any ideas? I have power cycled the watch already.

other suggestions?

Is your watch in "Do Not Disturb" mode?

Is your phone in "Do Not Disturb" mode?

If either of these are activated, then you will not receive a beep or vibrate.

F5x do not disturb mode

not sure I know now of a do not disturb mode. on the F5x? where do u set that?

on an android (Samsung S7 edge) not sure I am aware either. I know I get text messages my phone does audible alert me. I then look at my watch and I see a box show the message but no beep or virbrate

ok found the do not disturb. it was set to off. so I don't think so.

I had thismissue with iPhone too sometimes...
Had to kill the Connect Mobile app and relunch it. It works for me.

I power cycled watch and phone. Quite sure those didnt help.
I tweaked settings, thinking maybe an update to GC changed settings.
In hindsight I had issues with activities uploading from GC to strava.
for a few days in a row, nothing. so I deleted not only the F5x, but I delete the GC app and restarted it.
That quite possible pushed some setting to the watch to silence it.

Its working now.
though it beeps every time it disconnects from the phone. I need to go back and find that setting. since that is annoying while I sleep and I'm at the fridge of contact with the phone downstairs.
